Finally from The New York Voices this beauty that I actually used in a production with a group of teens and I sang with them and it was a most difficult song to get the harmonies right, but what a beautiful song. This is Silence of Time.

Was listening to this piece on a collection on Spotify, which was a cover of a very popular song and then two songs later another great cover followed it and I thought that would be a pretty cool Friday Music Set! First up is a welcome aboard to my friend Maureen O'Brien, this is her first time joining us for Friday Music. I have been rewatching the series Boardwalk Empire and during one of the episodes they had a Irish tenor singing one of my most favorite songs. I think the best rendition of it is sung by Van Morrison with The Chieftains, but this is a rather lovely take on it. The song is Carrickfergus sung by Louden Wainwright lll.
